How we help schools

Wi-Fi that follows your school's accounts and groups, and keeps visitors apart.

Sign In With School Accounts

Let students and teachers sign in to Wi-Fi with their Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra ID accounts.

Different Access for Each Group

Place groups on different VLANs and give each its own policies, such as different speeds for students and staff.

Access Ends When It Should

Set an expiry date on any account, and revoke one person's access without changing a password for everyone else.

Fair-Use Limits

Set rate limits and time and volume quotas per user or group, where your hardware supports it.

Devices Without 802.1X

Smart TVs, printers and other devices that can't use 802.1X get their own unique Wi-Fi password with xPSK.

Visitor Wi-Fi Kept Separate

Welcome visitors through a branded captive portal, separate from your students and staff.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do students and teachers connect to the Wi-Fi?

They sign in with the accounts they already have, such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID or Active Directory, so there's no separate Wi-Fi account to maintain.

Can different groups get different access?

Yes. Users can be placed on different VLANs and given different policies, such as rate limits, based on their directory groups.

What happens when a student or teacher leaves?

You revoke that user's access, or let it end automatically on an expiry date. With CoA, an active session can be disconnected immediately, and nobody else is affected.

How do devices that can't use 802.1X connect?

Devices such as smart TVs, printers and IoT devices can use xPSK instead, with a unique password for each device. Many networks combine 802.1X for staff with xPSK for devices and a captive portal for guests.

How do visitors connect?

Through your captive portal, with the sign-in you choose, such as one click or email or SMS verification, separate from student and staff access.

Will it work with our existing Wi-Fi equipment?

Splash Networks works with access points and routers from many vendors. See our Supported Hardware page, or ask us about your equipment.
