Apartment Buildings & MDUs

A Wi-Fi password for every resident, at the speed they're on

  • Give each resident their own Wi-Fi password on the building's network, instead of one shared password.

  • Set service tiers with different speeds, and end one resident's access without touching anyone else's.

How we help apartment buildings

Wi-Fi where every resident has their own password, tier and policies, and one team manages it all.

A Password for Every Resident

Each resident gets their own Wi-Fi password on the same network, instead of everyone sharing one.

Service Tiers

Set upload and download speeds per user, group or service tier.

Access Ends When It Should

Decommission one resident's password, or set an expiry date, without affecting anyone else on the network.

Instant Policy Changes

Change a live session's policy or disconnect a user instantly with Change of Authorization (CoA), with no reconnect needed.

Works on Every Device

Residents connect with a normal Wi-Fi password, so it works on phones, laptops, smart TVs, printers and IoT devices alike.

Device Limits

Control how many devices can be connected with the same account at the same time.

Every Building in One Place

Apply different rules per site, building or SSID, so the same user gets the right policy wherever they connect.

Professional Services

Our network experts can help with design, predictive surveys, installation, testing and more, for new sites or upgrades to your existing network.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do residents connect to the Wi-Fi?

With xPSK, each resident connects with their own unique Wi-Fi password on the same network, so there's no shared password to leak.

Can residents get different speeds?

Yes. You can attach policies to each account, such as rate limits based on service tiers.

What happens when a resident moves out?

You decommission that user's account, or let it end on an expiry date. Everyone else keeps connecting as normal, with no building-wide password change.

Can we change a resident's policy while they're connected?

Yes. Change of Authorization (CoA) updates a live session's policy, or disconnects the user, without them having to reconnect.

Can we limit how many devices a resident connects?

Yes. Simultaneous use limits control how many devices can be connected with the same account at the same time.

Will it work with our existing Wi-Fi equipment?

Splash Networks works with access points and routers from many vendors. See our Supported Hardware page, or ask us about your equipment.
